Welcome to the Junior Development tennis program at BCTA. The following
classes will be taught at the JCC on the corner of Stirling Road and Pine
Island Road.
Monday and Wednesday
3:45pm-4:45pm
Beginning/Intermediate Tennis (Gr. 1-5) $130 – 8 classes/per month
This class is geared toward teaching the fundamentals of tennis in a fun,
yet educational environment. The students will learn proper technique on all
strokes and will be introduced to tennis games and score keeping.
4:45pm-5:45pm
Intermediate/Advanced Tennis (Gr. 2-6) $130 - 8 classes/per month
This class is geared toward stroke production, game play, point play and
fitness. We will take your tennis to a new level in this group.
5:45pm-6:45pm
Team Training (10 and up) $130 - 8 classes/per month
This class is for the player who would like to work towards playing high
school tennis or the Maccabi Games. Focus is on constructing points and
consistency.
Tuesday and Thursday
3pm-3:30pm
Pre-K Tennis $110 - 8 classes/per month
This class introduces tennis to the young child in a fun and safe
environment. Basic technique of the forehand and backhand are covered as
well as eye-hand coordination skills and moving and tracking the ball.
3:45pm-4:45pm
Beg/Inter Tennis (K-5) $130 - 8 classes/per month
This class is geared toward teaching the fundamentals of tennis in a fun,
yet educational environment. The students will learn proper technique on all
strokes and will be introduced to tennis games and score keeping.
4:45pm-6:15pm
Pre-Academy - TRYOUT REQUIRED $240 – 8 classes/per month
This class is geared toward the player trying to reach the next level and
who eventually wants to play high school or tournament tennis.
This class will perfect the student's technique on all strokes and work on
technical, tactical, strategical and physical skills
TRYOUT REQUIRED. Class meets 2 times per week.
All classes are to be paid monthly. Sorry, no refunds will be issued for
unused classes. A list of all available class dates will be provided
monthly.
Please register early as class sizes are limited.
Students should wear proper tennis attire, no Keds,
or Rollie sneakers. Bring an igloo type jug of water, wear sunscreen, and
bring a tennis racket. If you do not have a racket, we will lend you one the
first day and tell you what to buy.
